 My years of corporate experience has made me understand that presenting oneself for success by dressing well and using appropriate business skills opens the doors for greater recognition and success.

We are living in an advanced world where technology throws light on what’s hot and not and people are following trends as such increased focus on appearance. Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, LinkenIn etc are very popular for exchanging media. We all want to ensure that the image we put out to the world is presentable.

Women Tips to Dress for Success

• You should have the three basic colors of suits in your wardrobe Black, gray and navy blue. You can always mix and match these colors with any other color . For example a White top to your black pants, a yellow top to your navy blue skirt etc.

• Comfortable pumps in black is a must have in your wardrobe which should be comfortable. Very high heels may not work for you if you do alot of moving around.
• Avoid sheer or see through tops. Keep your looks professional at all times.
• Make-up should be used in moderation. Excessive use of colors can look unflattering in a professional environment.

• Manicured nails reflects on your personality. A short to medium length nail is appropriate for a professional environment with a clear or not too loud nail color.
• Business casuals are most accepted dress code in most professional environment. Always look smart and avoid slippers, jeans (except if allowed), knickers etc. Knee length dresses , shirts/blouses , skirts and pants are great business casual looks.

• Accessorizing should be moderate. Accesorize with few jewelry .

 Mens Tips To Dress For Success

• Wear an undershirt.
• Grooming tips: nice hair cut, shave frequently and a manicured nails.

Spring Style – Peplums

 Peplums – A short overskirt or ruffle attached at the waistline of a jacket, blouse, or dress. Personally, I love the trend. It’s accentuates your waistline and makes you look slimmer. They come in a blouse or dress. Peplums are fun. Wear your peplum blouse with a pencil skirt to get that slimming look. Regardless of your shape, I honestly think this is a trend most women can pull off. Just be conscious of your shape and wear what works for you.

Grammy report 2012 Vs 2013
